That pattern is very common in many parts of rural India. It consists
of a thick streak along the sides of the foot with a large circle on
the top and bottom in the center of the foot. The toenails are also
deeply stained across the foot. It is also used by Hindus during
festivals. I am quite fond of this pattern myself.
