Hello, I have 3 henna plants that I keep indoors during cooler weather. They are happiest near a sunny window and kept evenly moist. They are very prone to aphids (the black kind plague ONLY the henna plants in my "garden")--and this seems to be a year-round problem. They seem more hardy once older -- I got mine last Dec. And I even forgot to bring them in during a frost warning one night (I think it actually only got down to 38ishF on my balcony), and they were just fine, minus a few leaves. But I'm not going to do that again! I try to keep them outside if the day temps go up past 60 and the night temps don't drop much below 50. You'll see a huge growth spurt as soon as you have hot summer temps. Enjoy your plants. I've certainly gained a lot of appreciation for henna by growing the plants. And they're handsome plants, too.
