I'm going to be doing henna as a registered merchant at a large SCA event near Phoenix, AZ this February. I need at least 1 more artist, maybe 2 to help me, as myself and my assistant will want SOME breaks to go play. Pay will be based on your experience, creativity and professionalism. The booth we are working out of is a large bedouin style low canvas tent with many rugs, pillows and of course, cool stuff to buy, like imported clothing, jewelry, shoes, etc., from Morroco, and tribal style belly dance tassel belts and choli tops. We will henna in STYLE. The event lasts from 2/15 to 2/21, costs $35ish to attend, and you must have desert camping gear and enough medieval looking or middle eastern/belly dance garb to last the whole time. Both warm and cold weather garb are needed, as temperature ranges from freezing to sweltering. As far as I know, I will be the only henna booth there, and with an expected crowd of at least 5000, we should be busy! There is much drumming and dancing, as well as many, many merchants, classes, and of course battles to watch. Check out the Estrella War site for local info, as well as rules and regs. Email me privately if you are interested in more info about hennaing with me. Thanks- Carrie
