I have a client who's significant other is arab and we decided that
we are going to henna the same are you mentioned above, with the word
(written in arabic) "marhaba" which means "welcome". We just have to
find a time when he's not going to see it all wrapped up so it will
be more of a surprise. He knows about her henna habit so he would
recognize any wrapping we could come up with.
As for the above marriage ritual, are they implying that marriage is
like constantly being insulted and pelted with feces?!!? Or maybe
they are saying that this is the worst of it and may you have only
the best.
