I think you have to fine-tune the consistency with each batch of
henna. Some hold that fine line better than others. My current batch
of Castle Arts has a nice natural sliminess to it that seems to really
help hold the line. Also, I do the line with very gentle pressure
and sort of glide it out... a little tough to explain, I don't know
if that was very easy to understand.... I certainly know what you
mean that some batches just have to be mixed stiffer or the moosh
factor overtakes the lines.

Until growers have henna as uniform as iceburg lettuce (perish the
thought!!!!) we'll always have to do a little poking and trying to get
it just right each time. So far it's always a little different.
