Go to Wrigleyville... There has to be something there around Halsted
and Clark. (I love just walking that area of town anyways, love the
subculture...) That area is usually the "hippest" section of the city.
(Or at least I think so...) I miss Chicago!! I'll be coming out to
IL/IN do some familial visiting this week, so I'm definitely going to
try to make it there and see what they've got going on...

Natural henna stains can last upwards of 4 weeks, usually though, they
are noticible up until a week or two, then they start to fade. The
coolest part is that, when done properly, henna dramatically darkens
the first 36 hours after removing the paste. What might have been
initially a disappointing color at first, usually gets more dramatic
throughout the day and night (as long as you don't wash the area).

Yes, people like getting traditional tattoo designs done with henna,
such as tribal and celtic designs. But henna has it's own long line of
traditional art, with lots of geometric patterns, swirls, flowers,
birds (peacocks mainly), lots of detail in a small area. There are
lots of cool websites, go to this forum's main page and start clicking
through the Mehndi Webring to get an idea...

JUST STEER CLEAR OF BLACK HENNA!!!! Make sure they don't add chemicals
of any sort. Ask for an ingredients list if you are not sure. If they
can't name what's in the henna, then it ain't good. Unless it's a
brand that they are using that is mentioned on this board. Mehndi Mud
is a good brand.

Good luck, Christopher, kiss Chicago for me...
