8 hours is plenty to wrap. 20 hours in acid eats the shell off a
chicken egg, as I recall......

The most important things are:
Do it overnight. YOur body throws off a lot of heat as you fall
asleep, and that warm-up and perspire thing makes all the difference
in the world in your henna color! Also, about 2am your body makes new
skin cells, and a I SWEAR henna wrapped across the 2am time is vastly
darker. (no side-by-side available, though)

If you can't do it overnight, take a little nap with a heating pad on
the henna. Your henna is happier the hotter it is. When it's hot,
the molecules expand, and the dye can penetrate and bind more easily.
Some people are sensitive to lemon. You can back off of the acidity a
bit if you leave the paste set a little longer, or a little warmer to
compensate for the dye release.

Nearly all my clients are repeat customers, and they all know the wrap
drill, so I don't get many complaints. I hand everyone a sheet of
instructions on wrap and aftercare, so they're not bewildered.

The only wrap instructions I know of are at my website, link below.
There must be others out there, but I don't know about them. There are
a LOT of variations on the instructions I give, that are more
appropriate for summer heat, humidity, and generally warmer climates.
(Cleveland is not balmy.) You will probably need to expand your
technique as summer comes along. Cotton fluff, and papertape from
Sally Beauty supply is a great boon in the summer ... then there's
the whole latex thing. Maybe I need to do an emailable WrapRant.
