Bindis are used by wives in India as a sign of their married status, though older unmarried girls sometimes wear them on holidays. (like dressing up). Bindis don't necessarilly go with henna, though they are part of the array of traditional ornaments and cosmetics that Indian women wear. The married women seem to be much more consistant about wearing their bindi than their henna. In photographs of groups of Indian women through the 20th century, the women nearly always have Bindis (or at least painted spots) on their foreheads, but henna is not all that common in day-to-day wear through most of the last hundred years. It shows up more for special occasions. It doesn't look to me that the two are all that closely associated..... The eyelash glue is a VERY good thing to use! Some bindi-sticky leaves irritations and welts. I'd just clean off the sticky backs and start fresh with eyelash glue to be safe.
