Saksena and about 5 other sources from India I've dug up say Tika is
the painted dot...
Rupal's mom uses tika interchangeably with bindi...
and you and others say Tika is also the hair ornament...

is this local variation, or are the jewelery and paint two different
manefestations of a single (or at least related group of ) tradition?
