Hallooo Kat!
If you can't find big tubs of New Skin (I don't know if they even
make 'em), you might try the cucumber facial mask/lemon sugar
concoction as a substitute. I just started using it and it seems to
hold the henna on and in place pretty well once it is dry. It is cheap,
and it sure smells a heck of a lot better than the NS! (smells very
pleasent in fact) When it is dry and you are ready to take it off it
peels off really nicely, taking the henna right with it. I used to go
nuts trying to get the NS off! It does take a little longer to dry, and
as with anything you put on you must make sure your henna is dry enough
to take it without smearing. All in all, I am a convert. Give it a try
and see what you think. You may find you don't want the industrial size
bottle of NS after all. :)
