I agree.

I've found the (often) entirely unwarranted sniping and the subsequent
bickering far more offensive than the occasional bit of self-promotion
from someone someone trying to earn a dollar on an enterprise
relevant to the topic of the forum.

To the snipers and flamers I say "Get a sense of history, folks." This
time last year you couldn't have found half as much useful information
online as there is now, and that fact is partly due to the sudden
increase in commercial activity in henna and related goods in the US
and elsewhere in the West.

The best of the people who have made serious investments of their
time, talent and resources in developing small business around
distributing henna products or as practicioners of the craft have
learned a great deal along the way, and almost all of them appear
willing to share what they know, and I don't see that anyone is harmed
if along with sharing their knowledge and experience they mention the
fact that they're in business and would like you to have a look at
their goods or visit their websites.

And if the header to a post looks like a blatant bit of pure
hype...pass it by without comment. All the complaining that's gone on
hasn't changed a thing, but it's occupied more space on this forum
than the original posts that a few people found so objectionable.
