About this time of year, when we were living in Iowa at the edge of a
copse .... the wild rabbits would come out every evening and have
boxing matches to see who would get the does. The kids would watch
them, and hold tea strainers up their mouths and pretend to be
broadcasters announcing "The Bun Show". I'd chuck out the leftover
bread crusts and veg from dinner for the rabbits (Iowa was always
under several feet of snow, I felt sorry for the rabbits).The rabbits
seemed to know when it was pizza night. My kids never ate their pizza
crusts, but the rabbits just loved them .... and seemed like every
rabbit for miles would show up for pizza crust night.
