HELP-need "hard henna" recipe for wood, leather, paper!

I'm looking to experiment with the henna recipe that people use for
making henna lamps, drums, etc, but the one person I know who has
this recipe is either out of town or her email isn't working.

I've got a wedding present to create using this recipe ( I know only
that it has lots of sugar in it) and I need to start soon, as the big
day is in June.

I'm planning on taking a nice untreated pine chest and hennaing love
& wedding designs all over it. BUT, I need to start practicing SOON!

Any help greatly appreciated!!
