Liisa, HELLO!! You've come to the right place to learn about Henna and Henna plants!! On behalf of all of us "Henna Heads", WELCOME!!! I have a henna plant named Lamu, who recently has graced my web page called "How To Grow Henna", devoted to the care and maintenance of Henna Plants (lawsonia inermis). There you will find complete care instructions, a link to a place where you can buy them on-line, and best of all, PICTURES!! OF COURSE YOU CAN GROW THEM INSIDE, and no, they don't need a greenhouse. All they really require is minimal watering (my kind of plant!), temperatures about 70 degrees ferenheit, and preferably direct sunlight, however, my lamu thrived in a north window with indirect light off of snow cover. As yet, I haven't tried drying leaves. Lamu is still rather young, and I really don't want to take a chance on shocking him by plucking little leaves off of him yet. Hmmmmmmmmm. The credit card may be a problem if ordering henna or henna plants. Companion plants (the on-line plant distributor which can be reached at my site) works primarily through credit cards. Click on the link below to go to my site! I think you'll find it most helpful! If you need any more info about Henna Plants, E-mail me!! ~P.J.~
