Henna probably had more than one origin. The origin of the bridal
(female, fertility) tradition was DEFINITELY NOT INDIA. That
origin is in the eastern Mediterranean between 9000 BCE and 5000
BCE. India had a separate and parallel beginning to henna. The
two merged by 1500 CE. The history of henna is actually extremely
clear,with abundant artifacts and literature scattered through books
and museums, but may not be very widely known. I'm trying to do
