: Hello. Wow. the 'not as easy as it seams-nes' of teaching about henna is settling in.(!) How do you suggest that I cram all this info into my students info-thirsty heads? also, what kind of music should we listen to to set the mood? Quawwali is good, but what else? Also, where can I get tools and henna related 'stuff' from other countries? GTG! I can't tell you much about the teaching aspect, but I can advise about music. There is a great CD of trance music that has Moroccan sufi chants on it. There is also a series of trance music by various artists - there are about 5 different CD's and the music is fabulous for setting a henna mood. Catherine suggested Hassan Hakmoun a while ago and I second that suggestion. He's a Moroccan guy living in NY and he does a style of Moroccan music called "gnawa". Anything that is gnawa will do but Hakmoun is one of the few recognizable "names" in this style. good luck!
