airbrushing henna

I am an airbrush make-up artist and only recently was told that I can use my airbrush to spray on henna (I use stencils and create some terrific effects). I know that it will need to be a "watery" consistency, but will it last very long? Where in Los Angeles, CA can I find "fresh" henna. The beauty supplies have the "stale" stuff. I appreciate any assistance. Thanks.
