Black food coloring is available from cake making suppliers ..... and
it will stain your skin for about 2 days. It will, however, stain
your clothing , your linoleum, carpet, towels, everything else it
touches just about PERMANENTLY. It will only stain your skin for 2
days or so because the dye molecules are too large to easily breach
the skin cells and bind with them. It will stain everything else
because fibers (and some plastic) are much more porous.

If you email me I can send you info on how to get your henna on your
hands to go black and very dark brown in the traditional way used in
North Africa and Medieval Persia.
