The pre-mixed that I'm familiar with is Rani. The color is neither
very good nor very bad .... it's in the brownish range. But, I get
vastly better colors (burgundy, Irish setter dog red, coffee brown,
near black) mixing my own with fresh plain henna powder from Castle

My main complaint about the pre-mix, though, is that the orifice of
the tube isn't as fine as I like, harder on the hand to handle than a
cone .... and I've had so many of those tubes burble, ooze and even
explode all over me from the bacterial activity in the paste within
the tube of pre-mix. Seems quality control and sanitation isn't
always ideal.

Very good fresh henna powder is much better than a burbly pre-mix
with unidentified ingredients.
