I have never heard of henna being applied with a paintbrush...but
that doesn't mean it has never been done or cannot be done. There is
a photo in Loretta Roome's book where a woman is applying henna with
a stick but it sort of looks like she is applying it with a
paintbrush. I think that if you are going to use a stick or a brush
you will have to give up on trying to get a thin line. You could use
a very fine stick or brush but it will probably never be as fine as
with a cone or bottle.
Maybe someone else on the list has actual experience.
