Henna bonds with the keratin in your hair and coats it. Most of the
color will have worn off in 4-6, but the henna is still there. SO if
you're thinking of using a chemical dye 4-6 weeks later, do a test
strand first -- henna reacts badly with the salts and metals creating
greens and pukey yellow colors.
