: The bottles had a lot of the same problems as the cones.
: The paste either wouldn't come through the plastic nozzle

: My henna is fresh green and after sifting its very smooth. So I

: Could the lines not be flowing from the cone from lack of even

: Its not leaking. I hope I can learn to use one. I hear the lines are

From my experience using the Jacquard bottle, I find that clogs that
you get with good, well-softed henna, are usually from a blocked
tip. It's hard to see inside those tips and see all the dried henna
that gets stuck. You may think you have cleaned it well, but then a
piece of the dried stuff flakes off and clogs it. I suggest keeping
the tips in a bowl of warm water while you are working - this is if
you are using different sized tips and switching back and forth. If
you let one sit around with paste in it even for five minutes, the
paste can dry. When you are finished hennaing for the day, I
suggested leaving all the tips in a bowl of water overnight to make
sure they are clean. After that I usually blow and/or suck water
through them to make sure that they are completely clean. If you
soak them while you work and after you work, you probably won't have
to do much else.

I hear that someone at Sirius is going to be mediating a discussion
of different methods of applying henna and a sort of tools
overview....I hope to figure out the cone thing there myself.

BTW, do you have any photos of your work using toothpicks?
