That requirement for insurance coverage is pretty normal. And, with
companies like Benchmark, the rates are no big deal. I think I last
paid $120 for the year.

There have been 4 day events where I cleared $1500 hennaeing, and
others when I may as well have just taken a nap in the sunshine. A
$300 8 hour day is pretty common for me, if are familiar with my work.
A 10 hour festival day hennaeing is bustass, and leaves you damn
tired! Four of them in a row is really, really hard.

I henna at about $40 an hour at a festival, and I'm fast and cheap.
That's all the traffic will bear hereabouts. A good $20 hand job keeps
people happy. There are places in the country where I could earn more
... but I'm not there, nor do I have the inclination to be. Yes,
some people charge more, and do mediocre (or worse) work .... but that
hurts them in the long run, and does a disservice to henna artists
everywhere.
