There are ways to get better stains from henna .... try the
instructions at my website below. That will get better result! Your
henna needs to stay on much longer, and be wrapped to increase the
heat and sweat on the skin to maximize the interaction between the
henna paste and your skin.
The green powder from the store WAS henna, (though called myrtle) but
it may be so old that it's not staining much anymore. Henna doesn't
have a very long shelf life, and shopkeepers don't seem to know that!
