I have corresponded with Navaid before, when I first started
experimenting with henna, about his colored pastes. I wound up going
the natural color, mix-your-own route (in no small part due to the
influence of this forum), but have since gotten a job that leaves me
very little time to sift, mix, plan 12 hours ahead, etc. So I have a
renewed interest in keeping some pre-mixed around.
In response to your posting, I checked out his site & wrote him with
some questions. He lists the ingredients of his natural paste as
follows:
1.- Natural Henna Powder
2.- Tartaric Acid ( daily food item in asia, completely harmless )
3.- Henna Oil
4.- Glycerine (sweet liquid made from fats and oils used in toilet
products and medicine, one can apply in sore throat )
5.- Mineral water
(I have inquired as to what exactly he means by henna oil.)
I will give it a try & add my comments on the results.
