Hi there...I agree with everyone's suggestion of doing some washing with soaps etc (shampoo works really well as well as Neutrogena soap..don't know why)
As far as your mehndhi coming out so light, I am sure you are aware that body temp. plays a BIG role in the intensity of the color. That is why you will notice that some people will have very dark mendhi whereas others will have it light. Each person has a different body chemistry and that too plays a role. (as does the quality and preparation of the mehndhi...) so, if you have mehdni anywhere other than the palms of your hands, you will notice the difference in color.
(I have mehndhi on right now and for some reason my knuckles ALWAYS come out darker....)
