Hellooo Anoise!
Where are you in Ca? If you are in LA or Orange County you are not
too far from Little India in the lovely city of Artisia (Artisia is
right next to the city of Cerritos) Take the 605 freeway to the South
Street exit in Cerritos and go East to Bloomfield street North and a
couple of blocks up you will find Indian clothes, food, jewelry, music,
etc.. OR you could try the garment district in LA. I just bought some
GORGEOUS irridescent green & pink sari fabric on clearence for $1.99 a
yard!...OR you can come to the Long Beach Outdoor Antique and
Collectable Market the third Sunday of every month (yes this Sunday the
21st!) at Veterans Stadium on Lakewood Blvd & Conant Street in Long
Beach (my home town). There are two vendors there selling not only
saris (both silk and poly), but fantastic Indian clothes, pants and
skirts made from saris, beaded skirts, Indian bedspreads, sari trim for
jeans etc.. and lots of great stuff. Hope this helped! If not there
are places on the 'net to buy saris. I'm sure there are people on this
page with addresses to share.
Monica :)
