I was browsing my Arabic dictionary earlier today and found that the
henna plant (are you listening PJ and Natasha) in Arabic is "tamr al-
hinna". The literal translation of that is "date of henna" (date, as
in the fruit). The word for date could also have many meanings,
like "plant" or "tree" which would make more sense, but would be a
lot less cute!
