No ink based product is safer than pure henna powder, IMHO. Also no
other product will give as consistent results. I don't find henna all
that hard to use, either. I think women develop a certain amount of
patience with beauty treatments over time.
The vast tradition behind the use of henna is also very important, it
being passed down woman to woman through the years. If you read the
archives you will see that there is a lot of discussion about the
origins of henna and its use by various tribes in history. I don't
really feel that the use of henna is all that much related to
tattooing.
