This is simply not true -- Your rant is great, as usual, but I beg to
differ with details on one of your questions. My henna often turns
from green to black during mixing, or during application when it
begins to dry on the skin -- especially when I use instant coffee or
the infamous "Diva" mix. Asking what is in the mix is much better
than a neophyte trying to judge what's in it from the color of the
paste! (because of variations in recipes and in different reactions
of henna to ingredients)
I find that using or not using oils also affects the color of the
paste. When using only lemon juice the henna stays much brighter
green.
It is always a good idea to ask each and every customer if their skin
is sensitive or if they have allergies. Many people are allergic to
citrus!
