oil and water don't mix but aloe vera does (isn't that strange?)

For some reason, the aloe vera gel doesn't separate from the oil.
They seem to mix pretty well. This is kinda why I switched from
water and lemon juice to aloe vera cause I needed a substance that
the oil could mix well with.
