I just tested Navaid's "black/colored henna paste" and wow!

Navaid was very nice to send me samples of his paste, and I did a little patch test for each one on the bottom of my foot. I have to say, they all worked beautifully, staining very quickly and in very nice shades of black, green, blue, and natural. I wouldn't use the colors to do a whole hand, I think that would look odd, but they work very well if I just feel like looking trendy. Also for some of my friends and cousins who don't exactly adore the color of natural henna. The colors hold up very well, and do not smear. I want you all to know that I am by no means converting to using "colored henna" all the time, but if I ever feel like satisfying my whimsy, it's there.

I have yet to wait and see if I get a reaction, but I have a feeling I won't. Also, they don't appear to seep very far into the skin at all, only staining the topmost layer, so I highly doubt that they are transdermals. It appears that with propper scrubbing and maybe a little alchohol, they could be removed in a few days. But if you want them to last, that works too. I don't want to scare any of you traditionalists, (Catherine, Kenzi, Jeremy, etc.) I was merely curious. Also, so as to avoid confusing anybody new to henna, I must stress that the colors other than the natural red are made by synthetic dyes, and not henna. The dyes in Navaid's paste are safe, but once again, they are synthetic. I am convinced that they are not PPD. You may ask why I am convinced, but I have my reasons.
