I would be willing to find someone at the New York Times who might be
willing to write on this subject. I have no contacts there but I
might be able to do some poking around. The NYT might be a good idea
since it is so widely read and is considered a reputable source.
Smaller papers might pick up the story and run it in their own
locales.

If you could copy me on the information you collect, or just be ready
if I can get someone to contact you with the info.

In the meantime, I don't see any reason why we can't all just make
printouts of the black henna warnings and hand them out whenever we
see black henna artists. Skyy has shown us that it is possible for a
person to look at the facts objectively.

I got a call from a dissatisfied customer who was upset because the
henna I sent her didn't come out black like the henna tattoo she had
done on the boardwalk at Ocean City, MD. ugh!
