: Or is the microwave rice bag ok? (Silly question?) Certainly. If it's not uncomfoatable on your skin, it's not all that hot. : Is it ok to wrap it with cotton and saran wrap and an ace bandage? Yes, though if you're someplace where the ambient temperature is 90F or up, don't bother. The heavy wraps are for cold places where you have to WORK at heating up your skin enough to get the henna to do its job. Wraps become crucial at 70F and below. : This is my first attempt at using new skin and I have so many questions. I bought the spray stuff. Cloves are listed under ingredients. Thats good. Not thrilled over the acetone. You'll lose the acetone if you use the paint on. Also the acetone seems to only be the solvent that makes it sprayable, and if you do it outdoors, that nearly eliminates the problem. : Some of of the pattern is a little smudged from the spray. Spray only after its totally dry, and spray very sparingly! : Should I wait until the paste has set to spray it? Yes, your paste must be ABSOLUTELY dry before you spray! If I do wait the fine lines will dry and crack. Spray or brush on teeny bits of NS if you see cracking starting ... you can still henna into areas that have been lightly NS'ed. If I'm doing a massivly complex henna, I'll NS carefully as bits dry and I'm still working on new areas. : Btw after I sprayed it on and went to the computer I noticed the smell from my hand is overwelming! I thought it wouldn't be so strong after it dryed.
Use spray NS outside, and use it sparingly! You don't need much! Just a thin spritz like hairspray. Two thin spritzes if necessary, but most people vastly overdose the NS. It's not supposed to look like a lemon/sugar coating. : Natalie
