I recently recieved 2 black henna tattoo's on my stomach and ankle. Within 24 hours, I developed blistering, swelling, and redness in those areas. I was seen in the ER and diagnosed with 2nd degree burns which will cause permenant scarring. I have seen 2 plastic surgeons who have stated this was caused by a chemical burn. The salon that I recieved these tattoo's from purchased their henna kit from a company in LA. This company has not been answering their phone lately. I did not realize that I was recieving something other than natural henna that is safe and temporary, until I found these websites talking about the dangers. It is scary that manufactures and salons still sell and administer this product when the internet clearly tells of people having adverse reactions.
