I always find henna on my own palms and soles to fade to orange and
the backs of hands and feet to fade from whatever color they got to.
There is some uneveness, and when it gets "unsightly" I sometimes
scrub it off with an exfoliating cloth. Or not.
I think it's important as Catherine says to have henna in different
stages on yourself when you're working (or all the time, as
advertising!) This includes two-day out super burgundy as well as
four-week-old faint orange. Here at Gilded Lilies we try to educate
people about henna and that includes its unpredictability!
We do also put eucalyptus/clove on people first, after asking them
about allergies. This may help my results...
good luck

Anne

: I found ONE thing you can add to the henna paste that keeps henna
from
: ever hitting the orange phase!
: (other than heavy steaming and the ammonia trick which are complex
: aftercares)
: With terpinol, the Jani henna I did at the link below stayed deep
: redwood until the last fleck. Honest to god!
: The demise is relatively quick, like Earth Henna and Mehndi Mud ...
: and for that matter, the color is very similar to those two ....
: so, do some work with terpines (go through that link) and see if
that
: might be an answer for you.

: Also .... you'll probably ALWAYS have some limb or other in a
: fade-down phase and show them that as an example.

: Have a look at the link below to see what terpines can do!
