Hello all, scanned through several pages of this forum, and you seem
like a likable bunch, so I'd like to pick your brains on a dilemma I

I've played around with henna on myself and lovers for awhile now,
and enjoyed myself totally. But, now a friend would like me to do
henna as part of his game at a roleplaying convention. (The character
I'll play runs a tattoo shop, and he thought it would be very cool to
have "tattoing" available.) I agree that it would be fun, but I'm not
sure about how to cover my posterier (sp?) in that sort of public

I wont be charging persay (I'll definitly accept tips, and might even
run the "suggested donation" route, mostly to defray the expense of
my supplies, and the fact that instead of running around the
convention doing what I want to do, I'll be sitting for hours doing
henna) so I'm not real worried about someone getting litigatious,
it's more, how do I answer when someone says "You know, the FDA says
this is illegal..."

Do you have some sort of informed consent discolsure? Keep it as Ms.
Jones said modeled on the "recreational pharmeceutical" level (where
everyone participating is breaking the law, none are likely to press
charges)....or something else? Work beaucoup good karma in the weeks
before? <grin> I've got an informational sheet typed up with some
henna history, what's in the paste, how long to leave it, etc.,
hoping to cut down on the interruptions, but would it make sense to
have some sort of "The FDA does not approve, you are doing this at
your own risk, please sign and date and turn in to the artist" type

I suppose I'm worrying over nothing, but I'm very excited to be
trying this, and want to minimize the number of things that can go

Any experiences or suggestions would be appreciated. Total silence
will be shrugged at. <laughter>

Oh, and I must say, all you who earn your living / supplement your
income by applying henna have my respect and admiration.
