The designs in the pictures looked like they were probably gorgeous
but were taken from too far away to really see what they were like.
Can you give some descriptive terms so I can recognize this style if
I see it other places?
Thanks,
Lauren

: Mumbai designs are some of my most favorite patterns, and if you
can
: pull them off, they are really smashing. They're different than
: Arabic designs, because they're based more on filigree.
: Go to www.mehendiart.com, and look in the gallery. They have some
: gorgeous Mumbai.

: : I have just started out as a Mehndi artist. I guess word of
mouth
: : spreads fast, because I'm getting offered parties before I even
: have
: : enough supplies together. I've ordered some henna powder samples
: to
: : try to decide which ones I like best. The design books I have
: : though, are traditional Indian design books. It looks like it
: would
: : take days to do one of those intricate hands or feet in the
books.
: : What I really like are the designs that are a little simpler,
with
: : bold lines mixed in. I think they are called Mumbai designs or
: : Arabic designs. Does anyone know of a good design book that has
: : mostly this type? Thank you very much for the info.
