Sounds like you're getting an awesome transfer. Once the henna paste
has been removed, try lightly wiping with an alcohol pad. We've never
had any problem with this affecting the henna stain at all...as long
as you don't SCRUB on it, it should be fine.

Also, in the future, you might try making your hectograph lines a
little lighter, or, once the design has been transferred, wipe it
VERY lightly with alcohol before applying the paste. That tends to
lighten dark transfers quite a bit, and cleans the skin before
application as well.
