You are talking about when the cole keeps rolling itself until the
hole is too small to use, right? There are two ways to avoid this.
You can put a piece of tape around the tip with the center of the
tape at the seam. This will stabilize the hole and give you a little
more support to the tip, which I found I liked. Also put a small
piece of Scotch or other plastic tape near the tip on the inside
seam. Or you can get carrot bags. I liked making my own cones, and
it's a very useful skill when Something Goes Wrong with what you're
using, but having them premade was well worth the few cents extra I
pay for them.
