Yes, that's about right. Generally, 1 tsp = 5 mL. So a quarter tsp is
roughly 1.25mL and a half tsp is roughly 2.5mL, just as you said,

Same here. There are EO bottles out there that come with "orifice
reducers" (hmmmm) that make it easy to measure out liquids a drop at
a time. Also, when I was searching for info on EOs I found a number
of websites that sold or provided glass pipettes for transferring the
EO out of the bottle. Of course, a graded eyedropper works just as
well and is much simpler to use IMO. ;) I haven't used a pipette ever
since my own chemistry lab days when I sucked a quantity of
hydrochloric acid into my mouth (for those that don't know, think of
a pipette like a long pyrex straw.) It was weak acid, so it wouldn't
have been a big deal *if* I hadn't been wearing braces at the time.
The HCl reacted with the metal and left a vile taste in my mouth for
the rest of the day that no gum or candy could quite erase. Bleaahh.
