: acc. to one site I visited, 1/4 teaspoon is about 1 mL

Yes, that's about right. Generally, 1 tsp = 5 mL. So a quarter tsp is
roughly 1.25mL and a half tsp is roughly 2.5mL, just as you said,
Rupal.

: I have a horrible time measuring oil myself.

Same here. There are EO bottles out there that come with "orifice
reducers" (hmmmm) that make it easy to measure out liquids a drop at
a time. Also, when I was searching for info on EOs I found a number
of websites that sold or provided glass pipettes for transferring the
EO out of the bottle. Of course, a graded eyedropper works just as
well and is much simpler to use IMO. ;) I haven't used a pipette ever
since my own chemistry lab days when I sucked a quantity of
hydrochloric acid into my mouth (for those that don't know, think of
a pipette like a long pyrex straw.) It was weak acid, so it wouldn't
have been a big deal *if* I hadn't been wearing braces at the time.
The HCl reacted with the metal and left a vile taste in my mouth for
the rest of the day that no gum or candy could quite erase. Bleaahh.
