information might help to figure out what the problem is. THE most
important thing for good stains is fresh powder; it is pretty easy to
mix your own paste and you might get better results and have more
control over the process this way. I have instructions for my method
at the link below and other people here have their own methods. Find
one that works for you.

Essentially you want really fresh henna and lemon juice. Once you
have this basic recipe down you need to keep the paste on your skin
as long as possible (6-12 hours depending on what part of the body is
hennaed) and try to keep it warm (heating pad, candle, garment
steamer etc.) and moist (dab it occasionally with a mixture of lemon
juice and sugar). You can also try adding terpine-rich essential
oils; they really darken the stain and allow you to leave the paste
on for a shorter amount of time. More information is available at
