Regarding the issue of henna on people of color. Of course henna
stains on people of color and people not of color are not going to
look the same. Why does it have to look the same? What is
the "best" way or "right" way for it to look. The point is that it
looks different and that is fine. The difference is equally
beautiful and acceptible. Different does not mean that any person of
color needs to limit their henna experience to their hands and feet.
Think about that...Why should they? Nor do people of color need to
put any additives other than a good terp into their henna paste ot
get stains that are sensational and will look lovely on their skin
and can be seen at a distance.
I am not sure if this is as much a matter of what the eye sees as
what the mind perceives. It does not have to be the same to be
equally...whatever.. But that, is in the eye of the beholder.
