I'd guess that most of us started out with commercial premixes, but
once you try mixing your own, you'll never go back! The problem with
commercial henna products (both powders and paste) is that they take
too long to get to us. What may have been excellent henna when
packaged has aged and faded like any herb will over time. If you buy
powder or fresh-made paste directly from a henna artist, you get
something much fresher and much better results. You will also have
control over what's in the mix, which for me is a big deal. Many
premixes I've seen are inadequately or just incorrectly labeled, ans
I don't like mysteries being applied to my skin.
