: That's fascinating! I think it's possible that this is true; I
think
: most Moroccan women seek to have lighter skin as it is
: considered to be more beautiful.

Thats always the way it is:we wantr to be what we are
not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And in general, the people in
: Marrakesh tend to have darker skin than the people of the north.

Rioght, but Ive heard, that especially because they have dark
skin, they just use red henna to show "our skin is "light" enough to
take trhat colourf"

really it is so funny-I talked to many morrocan women and they all
said the same:special treatments etc. are done to make skin
lighter.......

: Just the fact that there exist all these methods for making the
: henna dark or black goes against what you report. it makes me
: think that some people do want black or dark henna. Because
: they tend to be dark skinned they want their henna to be darker
: so it can be seen more easily.

what things do you know about black henna or henna stone??

I also heard, that a spraying deodorant,MUCH of it on the ffreshly
hennaed skin makes the colour darker.........

: I have done most of my henna research in the Marrakesh area;
: as I do more research in the north I might find out what the
: differences are between different regions.
