Watson, Robert S.. A visit to Wazan, the sacred city of Morocco 1880
"In late 1879 he spent five weeks in Morocco, visiting the sacred
city of Wazan, which no Christian European had entered before,
obtaining an introduction to the great cherif of Wazan and his
English wife. This was the first pleasure trip he had taken without
Elizabeth since their marriage. In 1880 he published A Visit to
Wazan, the Sacred City of Morocco."
