We've been using cones made from mylar wrapping paper all spring!!
They are sparkly and indeed catch peoples attention. These are the
only way we've been able to make cones that hold up to a full days use
at a busy festival without slipping open, creating wide holes or
becoming mis-shapen and exploding.
I have gold and irridescent purple.. I tie the ends off with tiny hair
or brace rubberbands and just roll the rubberband down as the cone
becomes emptied. So much easier than a carrot bag, so much less
pressuer is exerted than with j-bottles but produces the same line
quality. These are fabulous, I've actually been using these
exclusively.
Give them a try if you love the quality of jacquard bottles but are
having problems with your hand/wrist.
