question about backs, and other artists in the SE CT area?

Have been practicing on friends a lot lately - am getting much
better, but nowhere near the level of beauty created by other forum
members. Part of that is the repetitive motion disorder, which has
decided to make a comeback because of all the hennaing on friends

Two nights ago, I tried a few things out on a friend's back - some
good, some not so good - but it was the first time for either of us,
and I needed the practice, and if she's going to have much henna done
on her, it will be on her back 'cause she's not comfortable with it
on her hands or feet or anyplace else where it can be seen at work.

For the most part, she was lying down, and everytime she breathed, it
would throw off my design - just the action of breathing. Does that
make sense? Towards the end, she sat up and we tried it that way,
which was easier for her but I didn't care for it. How do other
people approach backs??

Also, have been approached about hennaing at a graduation party next
month in central CT (outside of Harford); if people want pretty
little flowers and such, I can do it, but between the pain in my
hands and the chance that someone will want something other than a
pretty little flowers, I'd rather have someone else with me. This is
just a tentative thing at the moment, but if there's anyone in the
area who'd be interested, please email me privately.

Thanks much,

Anne in CT
