Hi Andy,

First of all "henna pens" are a myth. They are (as I understand)
cosmetic pens colored like henna.
Secondly, there is no such thing as "black henna." Henna is a plant,
and stains the skin in shades of red, orange, brown, burgundy.
Anything calling itself "black henna" has an additive, and often a
highly toxic one called PPD, added. Please look at the warnings at
the top of this page before using this chemical on anyone, or handling
it yourself. It is very dangerous, with long-term health risks.
If you want body art in a form that isn't henna, try any of the safe
cosmetic products for skin. Temptu is nice, but you can also use
eyeliner. Please, though, don't call it henna if it isn't henna.
If you are interested in real, traditional henna, stick around to find
out about this fascinating art form!
peace,

Anne
