I find that backs are much easier to do with a metal tip than with
just the carrot bag as it gets down under those teeny hairs. Also,
since you can't drape the henna line on a vertical surface, having
something you can touch to the skin really helps. I have the person
stand in front of me while I sit, and I hadn't noticed any breathing
movements that way, so it may be that not resting on the operative
muscles is the key. Also you can get a centered design that way and
the person doesn't need to smush it to stand.
